Well, Andrew has located a potential roommate option. The only problem is that she is not male. Might not be so bad, but I would prefer that we didn't do things this way. Speaking of which, I'm really gonna miss the current two roommates - still have a long way before then though.

In other news, I now know about 12 of 20 amino acid chemical structures by heart. Only 8 more to go. I procrastinate too much.

Last, but not least - more photos on the russia blog. You should really check out the ones for the hermitage if nothing else. They are mind bogglingly sweet. Like an apple.

Allen just decided to reneg on the whole roommate next year thing. A little over a week before I have to have the lease signed. I feel so defeated.

Anyone who knows me knows that I don't have a TV. I can play movies and the like in the same way as anyone else with a TV, but I don't actually have any TV channels or the like. Don't care for it, even if it was free.

Nevertheless, there are still some things on TV worth watching. The simpsons or family guy come to mind. I still watch those things - through the internet. Here is a very funny clip of the Daily Show that illustrates quality humor:

OK, they say that these mars rovers are reprogrammable from earth. If only I had a radio telescope, I would so hack one of them to drive out the words "All your base are belong to us". Anyone have such a telescope I could borrow?
I read about iPod users suing macintosh for making an iPod with a non-replacable battery that wears out. I laugh and say "sucks to be them".

Today I go to walmart to get a replacement band for my watch. Apparently you can't get a replacement band for my watch that I bought at walmart even though bands do wear out. I hate it when tables are turned and I end up on the other end of the beating stick.

I am going to try and get my Russia blog rapidly updated this weekend. I should finish off the whole trip with a little luck. The bad part is that it will be only text from my journal, no photos. The text is likely to be in a non-final version as well. The reason for all of this is that I need to turn in my journal and I have no clue when I will get it back, so deadlines are moved up a bit. I'm so slack with this thing.

In other news, I wrote a search engine last night between the hours of normal living and normal living, on both sides of the hours of "why the hell am i still alive". And then prof decided to give a 3 day extension. Fortunate, since I hadn't 100% finished it anyway. Well, it is actually 6 different search engines. Anyway. Back to your regularly scheduled blogging...
Depending on your religious and other belief systems, this may be scary or exciting. A couple weeks ago, the Mars explorer fonud conclusive evidence that there is water on mars. Today, some researchers in Canada discovered conclusive proof that there was life on mars. Before there was life here on earth. You heard it here first.

Anyway, the real interesting question is if life perhaps arose on mars first and travelled here via a hitched ride on a meteor fragment. This particular bacteria did.
