Prague Blog begun.

You know, its a minor thing, but I wish I didn't feel lonely while alone. You know - at the apartment, doing work, roommates are at class, etc. I prefer to be around people, and thats not always possible. Its not a big deal, even if for a few days. I'm a bit worried about the summer though, if nobody is here I might go mad. I can handle it ... I think ... I hope.

Interesting. As many now are aware, the mars rovers have pretty much conclusively decided that there was water on mars, and lots of it. Not only that, but the cross bedding in some of the rocks found would indicate liquid water (not ice).

I've been reading and have discovered a problem here. For there to be large quantities of water on Mars, given Mars' distance from the sun, Mars would have needed a greenhouse effect in its atmosphere. This, experts say, would have to be methane. And, experts say, the only way to have generated such large amounts of methane in the martian atmosphere would have to be methane-producing bacteria. Its just a matter of time.
